How do I add POP e-mail accounts?

Log into your control panel at http://yourdomain.com/cpanel and click on either "Mail Manager" or "Pop Email Accounts." From there you can click on "Add Accounts" to create a new email address, as well as manage your existing email accounts.

How do I use a POP account?

To use your POP accounts, you'll need a mail program such as ThunderBird, Windows Mail, Outlook Express, Eudora or Netscape Messenger. There are several free ones you can download from download.com.

Is there webmail as well/instead?

Yes. We provide webmail for users who for some reason can't use their own email software. It is also handy if you're away from home and need to check your POP accounts from a different computer.

You can access it at either http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail, or if windows hosting: http://webmail.yourdomain.com/ with your full email address as the username.

What are the server settings for my POP account?

In your mail program, set the server settings as follows:

  • Incoming: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Outgoing: mail.yourdomain.com or Your ISPs SMTP server

mail.yourdomain.com can be used as an alternative outgoing server, however as this doesn't work for everyone, we generally ask you to use your ISP's outgoing server. If your ISP doesn't allow you to use their outgoing server on outside email accounts, you can use web mail instead.

“Remember to change "yourdomain.com" to your domain name. :)”

What is my POP accounts username/password?

In your mail program, set your username as follows:

  • Username: username+yourdomain.com
  • Password: whatever you specified when setting up your user account.

If you forget your password, you can log into your control panel and change it.

How do I set up a "catch-all" email account?

Your Catch-All account is your default account, where the username is the domain username you requested when you signed up. To change it, log in to your control panel at http://domain.com/cpanel and click on "Default Address" in the mail management section.

Any email sent to non-existent email addresses on your domain will be automatically forwarded to the catch-all account. If you don't want this to happen, set your default address as :fail:

Can I have changes made to my MX Record?

Yes. Simply log into your control panel and click on "Modify MX entry" in the mail management section.

Once you change the MX Records so that another server is handling your email, Libyan Spider Network Web is no longer able to control or provide support for the email accounts.

Can I give away/sell email accounts?

You are free to do what you wish with your email accounts, however you should become very familiar with our Terms of Service before offering accounts of any kind on your domain. If you wish to offer free email accounts, we recommended using a service designed for this type of activity, such as Everyone.Net or BigMailBox.
