3. Click on "Renew", you will have the option to choose the number of years that you would like to renew for.

Along with domain renewal and registration, you also have the option to transfer domains to your new account.

Domain transfer confirmations will only be accepted from the domain owner, and specifically from the address that appears on the domain whois information found under ‘Registrant’.

To transfer an .ly domain name into your account, please follow these steps:
1. Login to your account here
2. Go to the domain transfer page here
3. Enter the domain name that you would like to transfer into your account, then click on "Check Availability"
4. If the domain is available for transfer, it will show as "Available! Order Now", click on "Add to Cart"
5. Just follow the order wizard to complete the payment and order process.

Please note that:
1. A domain transfer fee will be applied.
2. The domain transfer fee is equal to 1 year's renewal fees on any .ly domain.
3. After the domain has been transfered into your account, it will be renewed for 1 year period. (This is included in the transfer fee).
4. The domain transfer will stay as "Pending" until the current domain owner approves the transfer by sending an email to lydomains@libyanspider.com 

As many as you like! There is no limit for the number of .LY domains each person/company is allowed to register.
I have received a warning that my domain has not been renewed and that Libyan Spider has suspended my account. What does this mean?
It means that you have failed to pay your renewal notice on time. After being notified twice the third notification will inform you that your domain has been suspended, and deleted from the DNS system. Please contact us immediately.

When a domain reaches its expiry date, its status will be changed from ACTIVE to EXPIRED and it will remain as EXPIRED for 30 days. During this period of time, the domain will no longer resolve to the name servers. Please note the domain holder can still renew the domain during this period.

If the domain is not renewed the domain status will be changed from EXPIRED to REDEMPTION and it will remain like that for another 30 days, during the REDEMPTION period the domain holder can renew the domain. However, this will attract a redemption fee of $50. If no action is taken then the domain will be deleted from the DNS system and it will be available for new registrations.

Domains containing obscene and indecent names/phrases, including words of a sexual nature; furthermore domain names may not contain words/phrases or abbreviations insulting religion or politics. Domain names in relation to the gambling and lottery industry or be contrary to Libyan law or Islamic morality will also not be allowed.

In principle, you are free to choose the domain name. However, you cannot choose names that are in use by other organizations, or names that for various reasons are prohibited or reserved for technical, ethical or national considerations. You also have a duty to ensure that your registration of a domain name does not infringe another party's right to the same name. Remember that the responsibility always rests with you. Anyone can register for an .LY domain name. However, registrations for gov.ly and edu.ly extensions require an official letter from the applicant for proof of identity.

As the domain name holder, you are responsible for the renewal of your domain name.

Try accessing your site via the server IP. To do so, connect to the FTP server like this, http://serverIP/~username. Please remember to substitute ‘username’ with your actual username.
If you can connect to the server IP, then there is a DNS error with your ISP. This will be resolved when they update their DNS tables (usually every 24-48 hours). Until it is resolved, you can access webmail by logging in to http://serverIP/cpanel and clicking on webmail, or by using the server IP as the mail server. You can also try using our proxy browsing utility. 

If you cannot access the IP and there is a connection down between the server and your ISP, you can perform a traceroute. To perform a traceroute on Windows please see below:

1. Click the "Start" button
2. Click "Run"
3. Type in "command" or "cmd"
4. In the command window, type "cd." until you are in C: Type "tracert yourdomain.com"

This will count the ‘hops’ to the server, and the time it takes to connect. If you see "Request Timed Out," that's where the connection is broken. Unfortunately there is nothing you or we can do, in this case, until the line is repaired you will be disconnected.
You can perform a traceroute from a remote system (to see if another system can access it) by going to dnsstuff.com and entering your domain name in the "tracert" box.

Finally, when you log in to your account info you will see a server status indicator, which will indicate whether or not the libyanspider.com server can connect to your server.

If all of these steps still indicate that the server is actually offline, please submit a support ticket.
