How do I configure Email Account in Android Devices?

To configure your Android mail client, please follow these steps:

  1. Access “Email” application on your Android device.
  2. Start the setup by entering your “Email” and “Password“, then click  “MANUAL SETUP
  3. Select what type of account you want, click either:
    • POP3 Account”.
    • IMAP Account” (Recommended because it allows you of synchronizing your emails across multiple devices)

  4. Incoming Server Settings:
    • For IMAP (Recommended)

      • Username : Your email address.
      • Password : Your email login password
      • IMAP Server : (eg :mail.lsdemo.net)
      • Port : 993
      • Security type : SSL (Accept all certifications)
      • When you are finished click “NEXT
    • POP3

      • Username : Your email address
      • Password : Your email login password
      • POP3 Server :(eg :mail.lsdemo.net)
      • Port : 995
      • Security type : SSL (Accept all certifications)
      • Delete email from server : Never.
      • When you are finished click “NEXT
  5. Outgoing Server Settings:
    • SMTP server : (eg :mail.lsdemo.net)
    • Port : 465
    • Security Type :SSL (Accept all certifications)
    • Check “Require sign-in” checkbox
    • Username : Your email address
    • Password : Your email login password
    • Click “NEXT“.
  6. You can change the Syncing settings to fit your personal needs, then click “NEXT“.
  7. Finally you can give your account a name and set a name as displayed name of your outgoing messages.
  8. Click “DONE”, to finish the configuration process.

Congratulations, your Email is now configured on your Android device to send and receive Emails.
