How to setup Email Account in iPhone/iPod and iPad Touch

This tutorial will guide you how to setup IMAP email account on iPhone/iPod and iPad Touch.

 

  1. From the Home screen tap Settings -> Accounts & Passwords  -> Add Account.
  2. For setting up email to work with your domain email address tap Other
  3. Select Add Mail Account.
  4. Enter your Name , Email Address, Email Password , and the Description, then tap Next.
  5. Next, you will be able to configure your email account to work in IMAP or POP3 protocols.IMAP Account (Recommended because it allows you of synchronizing your emails across multiple devices).

  6. Tap on IMAP.
  7. Next, make sure that the Incoming/Outgoing  settings as follows:

    In the
    Incoming Mail Server: 

     Host Name: mail.domain.com, (replacing domain.com with the domain of your hosting account).
    User Name: your full E-mail Address and its password. Example: user@domain.com. 

    In the Outgoing Mail Server: 

     Host Name: mail.domain.com, (replacing domain.com with the domain of your hosting account).
    User Name: your full E-mail Address and its password. Example: user@domain.com.
    then tap next.

  8. Turn the mail button on then tap Save.
  9. Tap on (email account you set up earlier)  .
  10. check SMTP (outgoing mail server) setting.
  11. Tap on mail.YourDomain under Primary Server.
  12. Tap mail.yourdomain.com On, (yourdomain.com represent your domain name).
  13. Check your SMTP as follows:
              SSL: Off
              Authentication: Password
              Server Port : 587
  14. Tap Done

Congratulation, your device now is configured to send and receive your domain email.
