How do I manage my Windows hosting plan from Client Area?

To manage your Windows account from Client Area follow these steps:

  1. Login to Client Area account.
  2. Go to Hosting & Services > My Hosting & Services.

  3. In My Products & Services list, locate and click on your Windows hosting plan, it is Hobo in our example.

  4. In Manage Products page, you can either:
    • Scroll down to Manage Account and click the function that you want to manage.

    • Or click on Management from the Actions menu.

In Windows shared-hosting there are nine different functions you can manage:

  • FTP Access: FTP accounts allows you to access your website’s files using FTP (File Transfer Protocol). You will need a third-party FTP program to access your files. Under FTP Access, you can create new accounts, delete or change password of your FTP accounts.
  • Email Addresses: In this area you can manage the email accounts associated with your domains such as creating, deleting email accounts and changing passwords.
  • Email Forwarders: here you can add or remove Email forwarders which Send a copy of any incoming email from one address to another.
  • Databases: Databases allow you to store lots of information in an easy to access manner. In this area you can create and delete databases and database users.
  • Subdomains: A subdomain is a subsection of your website that can exist as a new website without a new domain name. In this area you can create and delete subdomains.
  • Addon Domains: An addon domain is an additional domain that the system stores as a subdomain of your main site. Use addon domains to host additional domains on your account. In this area you can add and remove addon domains.
  • Domain Aliases: Domain aliases make your website available from another domain name. For example, you can make www.example.net and www.example.org show content from www.example.com. In this area you can add and remove domain aliases.
  • DNS Settings: On this page you can manage your domain DNS records.
  • Applications: Manage your applications here. View the already setup applications, install new ones.
