LS Cloud encrypts data stored on disks by using the Advanced Encryption Standard AES-256. Encryption is enabled by default on all storage tiers. LS Cloud stores disk encryption keys in cluster’s metadata (MDS) which is replicated across multiple nodes with erasure coding to ensure availability or integrity.
LS Cloud makes HTTPS encryption (also referred to as SSL or TLS connection) available. LS Cloud support ephemeral elliptic curve Diffie-Hellman cryptographic key exchange signed with RSA and ECDSA. These perfect forward secrecy (PFS) methods help protect traffic and minimize the impact of a compromised key, or a cryptographic breakthrough.
