A Junior Frontend Developer is an entry-level position for individuals beginning their career in front-end development. This role involves learning and applying fundamental web development skills to create and maintain website components.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in implementing user interface designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Learning and applying the fundamentals of backend development, particularly using PHP, to contribute to holistic web development processes.
  • Contributing to the testing of web applications, identifying and reporting any identified bugs for prompt resolution.
  • Actively learning and staying updated with emerging web technologies and industry best practices to support ongoing skill development.
  • Providing support to the development team across various tasks and projects, contributing to the overall success of team initiatives.
  • Assisting in debugging and resolving front-end issues to maintain the seamless functionality of web applications.
  • Ensuring the responsiveness and compatibility of web applications across various devices and browsers for optimal user experiences.
  • Collaborating closely with more senior developers to address technical challenges and enhance skill proficiency.
  • Implementing SEO, performance, and responsiveness optimizations to enhance the visibility and usability of web applications.
  • Following guidelines and best practices to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of websites.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of web design principles, best practices, responsive design, and current techniques to contribute effectively to project outcomes.
  • Providing training to clients on managing their website content, ensuring they can effectively utilize and update their platforms.
  • Providing support and documentation for your projects, ensuring comprehensive and accessible resources for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Implementing the learned development practices in actual client projects.
  • Conducting comprehensive testing of website functionalities to ensure smooth and error-free user experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent coursework/experience).
  • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web standards.
  • Eagerness to learn and a strong desire to grow as a front-end developer.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Team-oriented, responsible, flexible, and independent approach.
  • High level of commitment and quality awareness.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability and desire to quickly learn and adapt to new languages and techniques.
  • Strong English documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g. WordPress).

Additional Information
  • Contract duration: Fixed-Term Appointment (FTA).
  • Working hours: 7 hours daily, including lunch / 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 
  • Probation period: 1-3 Months. 
  • Location: Tripoli, Libya. On-Site.
  • Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
