Job Description


The Cashier (Accounts Receivable & Payable) plays a key role in the Finance Department by managing daily cash transactions, recording and reconciling receipts and payments, and ensuring accuracy in both accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to handle financial transactions efficiently and in compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle cash receipts and payments efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily transactions.
  • Reconcile cash, bank deposits, and petty cash.
  • Process and verify invoices, receipts, and vouchers.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports related to cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Coordinate with accounting and finance teams for smooth operations.
  • Prepare cash summaries and submit daily reports to the Finance Manager.
  • Manage and secure all financial documents in a confidential and organized manner.
  • Assist with monthly and yearly financial audits by providing required documentation.
  • Track payment due dates and ensure timely settlements to vendors and suppliers.
  • Respond to queries related to financial transactions from internal departments and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cash handling, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Trustworthy and strong sense of responsibility.

Additional Information

  • Contract duration: Fixed-Term Appointment (FTA).
  • Working hours: 7 hours daily, including lunch / 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 
  • Probation period: 1-3 Months. 
  • Location: Tripoli, Libya. On-Site.
  • Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
