Job Description

Technical Operations Engineers are the core of our success as a company that prides itself on providing the highest level of qualified and timely technical operations. As a junior member of the Operations Team, you will be part of a dynamic team that enjoys helping others. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will help monitor our systems, troubleshoot technical issues, provide technical support by phone and email, and support the continuous improvement of our operational processes. 

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, passionate about technology, and ready to face new challenges in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will be a person our customers trust. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical problems.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify solutions to software and system issues
  • Ask customers targeted questions to understand the root of the problem quickly
  • Track system issues through to resolution within agreed time limits
  • Talk clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email, or chat, until they’ve solved a technical issue
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
  • Refer to internal databases or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions.
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Perform systems configuration and data migration procedures
  • Serve as a member of the evening-shift rotation to diagnose and resolve technical incidents promptly
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of manuals and knowledge base articles.

Requirements 

  • Good understanding of computer systems and networking
  • Experience with Linux is a plus
  • The desire to help others
  • The desire to learn and develop your technical skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Ability to research and test solutions
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fundamental technical issues
  • Problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field
  • Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, Huawei, or similar technologies (is a plus)

Additional Information

  • Contract duration: Fixed-Term Appointment (FTA).
  • Working hours: 7 hours daily, including lunch / 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
    • Sunday – Thursday: Full time from 9 AM to 4 PM.
    • Saturday: Shift based on a maximum of 2 days per month.
    • Evening Shift: (Optional, and only after the probation period) Team members work one week per month from 2 PM to 8 PM.
  • Probation period: 1-3 Months. 
  • Duty station: Tripoli.
