Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and maintain our Information Security Management System (ISMS), develop and authorize security policies, and conduct regular security assessments and activities. This role is crucial in ensuring our organization's security objectives are met and aligned with industry standards and best practices. The Information Security Coordinator will work closely with various departments to implement effective security measures, mitigate risks, and respond to security incidents.

Responsibilities

  1. ISMS Management:
    • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
    • Ensure the ISMS aligns with organizational goals, complies with relevant regulations, and adheres to industry standards.
    • Conduct regular reviews and updates of the ISMS to address evolving security threats and business needs.
  2. Policy Development:
    • Develop, author, and maintain comprehensive information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Ensure policies are communicated effectively across the organization and are understood and followed by all employees.
    • Monitor compliance with security policies and manage the enforcement of security standards.
  3. Security Activities:
    • Plan, execute, and oversee regular security activities such as vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
    • Collaborate with IT and other relevant teams to implement security controls and improvements.
    • Respond to security incidents, manage incident response processes, and lead investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.
  4. Risk Management:
    • Identify, assess, and prioritize security risks to the organization.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and update risk management plans to reflect new risks and changing conditions.
  5. Training and Awareness:
    • Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
    • Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing an Information Security Management System (ISMS) and developing security policies.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Experience with risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
  • Strong technical writing skills in Arabic and English.

Additional Information
  • Contract duration: Fixed-Term Appointment (FTA).
  • Working hours: 7 hours daily, including lunch / 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 
  • Probation period: 1-3 Months. 
  • Location: Tripoli, Libya. On-Site.
  • Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
